Weight loss without dieting........ Is it possible to lose weight without dieting.

There are far too many diets with too few results. With over 25,000 diet books currently in print, many of which contain directly contradictory information, which results in much confusion.

I have many times throughout my life successfully lost weight with various diets, at times with the aid of prescribed diet pills. Drastically cutting calories helped me to lose weight rapidly, however that method is usually unsustainable and I would end up crashing while trying to keep calories too low for too long. And also only to find that I had regained the weight I had lost and more of it. Although I had lost weight while dieting with so many different diets I still consider all my attempts at dieting a failure once I had regained the weight I had lost. I have since come to realize that there is more to losing weight than following a diet plan.

A book that I have found to be very insightful and revealing has helped me understand my relationship with food, emotional eating and food obsession. One chapter in the book concerning past childhood memories has helped me greatly in areas that are relevant to me as a Parent. I can see how I have passed these ingrained childhood messages-memories onto my own children.

Sylvia E. Jaskvitz writes, How do I get past my childhood messages? My mom always said, "No dessert unless you eat all your fruits and vegetables" Now I see nutritious foods as a punishment. Parents often use food as a way to reward their children for "behaving" or punish them when they're "misbehaving" . For example:

He Say's, I can make you thin ... I Say,Lets put it to the test.

My sister had visited me a few days ago and excitedly told me about a program she had watched on TV. A man by the name of Paul McKenna , author of - "I can make you thin" as well as other programs - "Quit smoking" -"Instant Confidence" and many more. My sister told me she tried his simple technique that he had shared while his program was aired. And she was pleased to tell me that during the past few days she had felt less inclined to over eat, and lost her desire to smoke.

My sister and I are both heavy smokers, well I cant say that about her any longer since she has started applying the techniques with "Quit smoking", Congratulations to my sister. The photos I have displayed are not recent photo's and my apologies as I do not have recent photos on my computer as yet. The photo's above were taken at least three years ago. I will display more recent pics as soon as I can. I had put on quite a bit of weight since then. Yes the dreaded before, in between and after shots will be added .....

I am 51 years of age. I have 5 children their ages range from eldest at 27 and youngest aged 13. Also Raising my two grandchildren... And I really need to start taking good care of my health.It is very easy to lose sight of things, very easy to get stuck in a rut and feel like your living in another dimension "twilight zone". Its time to get my life back! And that brings me to two important issues which is losing weight and quit smoking. Can I do it? By Crikey I know I can.....:)
